Indians can now enjoy visa-free access to 16 countries. Of these 16 countries. On the other hand, according to the passport index organization, India has a mobility score of 52 that allows it to travel to 34 visas on arrival countries and 16 visa-free countries. Two countries provide an e-visa facility. Additionally, Indian passport holders need to apply visa for 146 countries before traveling there.
Minister of State for Externcccal Affairs V. Muralitharan, in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, said that there are 16 countries that provide visa-free entry to ordinary Indian passport holders. He added that 43 countries are providing visa on arrival (entry) facilities here, and 36 countries are providing e-visa facilities. The Minister further said that the government is making continuous efforts to increase this number on free visa travel, e-visa facilities, and visa on arrival.
