Higher Education System
Czech universities follow three-cycle higher education system (bachelor’s, master’ and doctoral study programs) since 2001. Main medium of instruction in all universities in Czech language but courses (about 1,000) are also available in other language such as mainly in English. Bachelor’s degree programs consist of 3 to 4 years of duration and end up with final state exams. This degree is followed up by Master’s degree with a duration of 1 to 2 years. Doctoral programs last for 3 years.

How to apply for admission?
There is no centralized admission system in Czech republic for international students. One can apply for admission in desired university within admission deadlines for Spring and Winter semester. - You need to present certificates of previous studies for getting admission into university. Documents requirements are different for all study programs, so it is better to ask a university first which documents to submit. Generally, it is a completed higher education certificate (13 years of education) required to study a bachelor’s degree and a bachelor’s degree to study a master degree. You will also need to submit you passport copy, statement of purpose, and score sheet of language proficiency. University may ask for additional documents such as CV, references, and work experience proof.

Do I need IELTS to study in Czech universities?
Yes indeed that is necessary to submit a language proficiency roof to the chosen university. You will have to present for example a score report of IELTS (not older than 2 years) to the university to show that you are eligible to study in English medium of instruction. For degree programs in Czech language, you will need to submit Czech language proficiency certificate with an advanced level.
Can I study without IELTS?
