2,000 PR candidates invited for Express Entry Immigration

 Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited 2,000 new candidates to apply for permanent residency. The immigration stream such as CEC, PNP, or FSWP has not been specified. This means the candidates have been invited from all immigration streams with the following details:

  • Number of invitations issued: 2,000
  • Rank required to be invited to apply: 2,000th or above
  • Date and time of round: August 03, 2022, at 15:16:24 UTC
  • CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 533
  • Tie-breaking rule: January 06, 2022, at 14:29:50 UTC

IRCC invited the candidates to apply for the PR within 60 days of the invitation. Successful candidates had to score 533 under comprehensive ranking system (CRS). This is 9 points less than of the last draw of 20 July. More candidates have been invited this time compared with the last draw of 1,750 candidates.

Canada started issuing ITA’s (invitation to apply) for all immigration streams on 6 July 2022. This shows Canada may well be able to meet the quota of 55,900 permanent candidates in 2022.
