Canadian province New Brunswick often runs internationals job fairs, information sessions, and recruitment events all around the world. Through these events, the province gives a chance to the interested applicants to meet the employers and immigration teams that support them applying for the provincial nominee program.

Not all provinces run such programs. Currently, only the ‘New Brunswick’ province offers such events to recruit professionals from all around the world. New Brunswick will be hosting information sessions on its provincial immigration programs. The Express Entry stream is intended only for people who intend to reside in New Brunswick. Immigration program officers will be online to answer any immigration-related questions. Professionals eligible for this event must have a valid profile in the Federal Express Entry pool as well as recent experience.

New Brunswick offers you opportunities to apply through its ‘Provincial Nominee Program’ (NBPNP) or through the ‘Atlantic Immigration Pilot program. You may well be nominated by this province for the Express Entry Stream that will allow you to get 600 extra points to form CRS.

How to apply for these events?

Before being a part of such job fairs, recruitment events, or immigration information sessions, one has to fill in an application form online (provided above against each job fair). The registration form asks you about yourself (qualification, age, work experience, and financial details, etc).

The registration form has four ( 3 to 4) pages. Once you have completed a page and clicked Next, you cannot go back and change any information previously entered. Before clicking Next at the bottom of any page, be sure to review the page to ensure that all of the information entered is correct and that all requested documents have been uploaded.

Once your application seems good enough for employers, you are given a chance to attend the event online on the given day and time along with an email confirmation.

Major Requirements

In order to fill in the online registration, you need the following documents:

  • Proof of previous work experience (letters of reference, tax documents, pay stubs). At least one year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time (1560 hours over 24 months), in your primary profession or a similar field (the job you intend to do in New Brunswick) in the last five years
  • Language exams, i.e. IELTSTEFTCF (level 4.0 minimum or 6.0 to 7.0 for higher category jobs on the Canadian Language Benchmarks ). You may also register without it first
  • Educational credential assessment (ECA)  Please make sure that you have at least a higher secondary school certification. In case of no ECA report, you may submit the highest attained qualification proof
  • Photo page of your current valid passport
  • Visa for your current country of legal residence (required if your current country of legal residence is not your country of citizenship)
  • Your CV (optional)
  • The CV of your spouse (optional) (if applicable)
