A new program called “Hand in Hand for International Talents” will now help Indians to move to Germany to work in the Information Technology sector. The pilot project will help IT, professionals, from Vietnam, Brazil, and India to settle in Germany.

What is the “Hand in Hand for International Talents” project?

This scheme’s joint pilot project was made by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs in cooperation with the Federal Employment Agency and DIHK Service GmbH.

What are the criteria for applying for this scheme?

- Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering
- Experience – There is required at least 2 years of experience in your field. For example, as a software engineer or web developer.
- Incentive – You must have a strong reason why you want to work and live in Germany. Your reasoning must show your motivation and a clear vision of the career that you want to make in Germany.
- German Language – You must have a strong motivation to learn about German in the less possible duration to increase the chances for selection.
- Fluency in English – You must have a strong grip over the English language.
Application Procedure for this scheme in India
The basic information of the preparation phase of this project in India is:
- You will have to submit a professional application and CV;
- Your selection will be based on your application and CV;
- There will be an online meeting after the selection;
- You will be given training for a better understanding of the German language (level B1);
- An interview with the employer will be organized in your related field of profession;
- Lastly, you will have to apply for a visa.
Further process for this scheme in Germany
If you successfully arrive in Germany via this scheme, there will be some tasks waiting for you in Germany. These are:
- You will be given the training for the German language again. Now your level will be increased up to CEFR B2;
- If needed, you will have to complete your qualification. For example, if your qualification was accepted for the short-term, you will have to make it complete. This will help you to maintain the criteria of your professional qualification for the long term;
