As per my personal experiences, study abroad seems impossible without having shown funds in your personal bank account. But hold on please, there are some certain ways, that you can use to apply a student visa without it. First of all, it is really important to know that why every embassy asks for a bank statement with a certain amount? Answer is quiet simple. Once you choose a country for studying abroad, you have to prove the embassy at the time of visa application, that you will be able to support yourself on your own during studies. For example you will be able to bear the cost of accommodation, personal expenses such as food, clothing, transportation, study material etc. This simply means living cost. To get satisfied, embassy needs a guarantee from you in a form of personal or parents bank account that has enough money for all such expenses.
The only possible way to apply a student without bank statement to show alternative financial options. This simply means a fully funded scholarship from university or any other organization. Once you get a scholarship from such organizations, you need no more proof of showing personal findings as these bodies surely provide you with written details of your financial support for living cost and tuition fees etc, which you can use as an alternative of bank statement at the time of visa application.
Following are the main types of scholarships:

Now question arises, how and where to get these scholarships from? Below are some of the country-wise scholarships awarding bodies where you can search one scholarship of your chosen study abroad destination:
