IRCC releases the 4th Express Entry Program draw of April by inviting 1,400 candidates. The draw category selected this time is French language proficiency.
The CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited is 410. Which means a score of 410 or above is eligible for the draw. This is the highest CRS score of the year so far. Previously, the draws of French language proficiency had a CRS score of 388, 336, and 365.
From this category, IRCC has overall invited 12,400 candidates in 2024. The biggest draw of it has been from 1 February 2024 when 7,000 candidates were invited to apply for the PR.

The invited candidates can apply for the PR within 60 days of the invitation received. This draw specifically focuses on French language proficiency which means only candidates with this requirement have been sent invitations to apply.
This is the 4th French language proficiency draw of the year. On the other hand, IRCC has also issued draws in “rounds of invitations” for General and other categories.
How Does Express Entry Pool Selection Work?
IRCC ranks the interested candidates in the Express Entry pool using a points-based system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). For the invitation round, IRCC:
- chooses the type of round to release,
- decides the number of candidates who are invited,
- identifies the highest-ranking candidates from the pool who are eligible for the chosen round type,
- invites invited candidates to apply for permanent residence in the time of 60 days.
