Canada will give 1.2 Million visas in next three years – Canada’s new immigration policy for 2021, 2022, and 2023

Canada announces a new immigration policy for 2021, 2022, and 2023. Canada will give more than 1.2 Million visas in the next three years.

On October 30, 2020, the Honourable Marco Mendicino, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, tabled the 2021‒2023 Immigration Levels Plan that will allow 401,000 immigrants in 2021, 411,000 in 2022, and 421,000 in 2023.

This year shows its significance at its peak where the immigration policy was announced twice. Back in March when the previous plan set targets of 351,000 in 2021 and 361,000 in 2022. Canada needs workers due to its old growing population.
The set-aside target of 400,000 for each of the upcoming years will be the highest number of immigrants of all time.

The 2021-2023 Immigration Level Plan aims to welcome about 60% of the economic class (PR and work visas) of all immigrants. There were 64% fewer permanent residents in August than in August 2019. The candidate was unable to travel to Canada before his immigration documents expired due to travel restrictions and other barriers related to the coronavirus.

The biggest challenge for Canada is that its labor force is out of balance. Over the next two decades, 13.4 million people are expected to be out of work, but only 11.8 million will drop out of school and join the workforce.it also has the lowest birth rate in the world.
