Express Entry Round of Invitations: Canada invites 635 candidates through PNP Draw

The 17th PNP draw is out now on 1 September that allows 635 candidates to apply for the permanent residency of Canada. The CRS score cut was 764 which was based on the tie-breaking rule on April 12th, 2021 at 12:21:45 UTC. These draws are conducted under the “Express Entry Round of Invitations” program every month almost 4 times. Including this latest provincial nominee program draw, Canada has so far invited through express entry a total of 106,414 candidates and it is expected that it would reach the target of 108,500 in 2021 till the end of September.

PNP candidates automatically qualify for the 600 extra points in a PNP draw. This means the invited ones had to score only 164 to get the ITA.

  • Ontario holds the first PNP invitation round for Masters and Ph.D. grads and invited 479 international student graduates to apply for a provincial nomination on August 18,
  • SomeCanadian provinces invited the following number of candidates in:

PNP was launched in 1998 and since then the PNP has become the second most important route to permanent residence in Canada. Between now and 2023, PNPs alone are expected to result in more than 80,000 immigrants per year being admitted as permanent residents.
