Hong Kong Talent List – Shortage Occupations List for Work Visa

The Government of Hong Kong has designed a shortage occupations list, also known as the “Talent List”, to overcome the labor shortage in the country.

The current Talent List has 60 occupations from 9 industry sectors implemented from 1 March 2025. Foreign workers from around the world can apply for these jobs in Hong Kong to work legally in Hong Kong.

This updated and newly announced shortage occupation list helps getting the following employment permits in Hong Kong:

  • Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS)
  • General Employment Policy (GEP)
  • Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals (ASMTP)
