Immigrate to Canada without a job offer through BC PNP

You can obtain Canadian permanent citizen status without an employment possibility. This is possible through British Columbia’s provincial nominee program. In this province of Canada, it is not necessary to have an offer of employment in order to apply for the International Post-Graduate category.

To do so, you must have a graduate degree in science from an authorized British Columbia university. This means Science students can be qualified for the Skills Immigration through the International Post-Graduate category of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)

This program offers preference to immigration applicants who have completed a master’s or doctorate (Ph.D.) in one of the natural, applied, or health sciences courses. These courses are listed below:

  • Physical Sciences,
  • Agriculture,
  • Natural resources conservation and research,
  • Biological and biomedical sciences,
  • Mathematics and Statistics,
  • Engineering,
  • Health professions and related clinical sciences,
  • Engineering technology,
  • Computer and information sciences and support services,

This stream does not require applicants to have an account in the federal Express Entry system. To be considered for this division, you must do these things:

  • File your form to BC PNP within three years of the date of your actual degree. To be qualified for this stream,
  • You must also be willing to demonstrate that you intend to live and work in British Columbia. You can prove it by:
    • Giving the verification about your previous residence in the province,
    • Offering documentation of your employment, education, or family links to B.C,
    • Submitting a statement of any efforts you’ve done to permanently settle, such as finding employment or a place to reside or getting involved in the community.

For priority consideration, enroll for Express Entry BC – International Post-Graduate Stream.

If an applicant has an active Express Entry account and fulfills all the requirements of the Skilled Immigration International Post Graduate Category will be given ease. The ease will be in the form that he/she will be given priority for the application process. Moreover, if he/she will be selected, then his/her application will be given priority for permanent residence.

Express Entry BC – International Post-Graduate

It is a division in B.C. that coincides with the federal government’s Express Entry immigration shortlisting. In addition to the standard qualifying conditions, candidates in this class must have

  • A valid Express Entry account number,
  • An IRCC Express Entry employment validation code.

The benefit of making an Express Entry account

Candidates who earn a nomination under the provincial streams gain an extra 600 points toward their Express Entry ranking result. It is insurance for an ITA in a subsequent Express Entry call round held by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.

Having an Express Entry account allows provinces to select you from a group of applicants under their provincial streams. Furthermore, it also allows you to get an Invitation letter directly from IRCC under federal programs if you meet the Comprehensive Ranking System criteria.

Almost all Canadian states and territories, except British Columbia, have a minimum of one Provincial Nominee Program stream integrated into the federal Express Entry system. Many of these PNPs, including those in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Nova Scotia, do not necessitate an offer of employment.
