  2. be under 45 years of age

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa (subclass 187)

  2. be under 45 years of age

Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) (Points-tested) stream

Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (subclass 888)
Through this stream, you can apply as a businessman and investor. There are some certain requirements that you must meet in order to get into this category. This allows you to live in Australia permanently and sponsor your family. You must:

  1. hold a relevant stream of the subclass 188 visa or 444 visa
  2. be nominated by a state or territory government agency or Austrade
  3. have owned and operated a business in Australia for at least 2 years (Business Innovation stream) or
  4. have held a designated investment of AUD 1.5 million for 4 years (Investor stream) or
  5. have held a complying investment of AUD 5 million for 4 years (Significant Investor stream) or
  6. held a complying investment of AUD 15 million for 1 year (Premium Investor stream)
  7. meet additional financial and other requirements of the same stream of this visa

 

Business Owner visa (subclass 890)
​This stream, allows business owners who are not sponsored, to live in Australia permanently. Same as other categories, family can be sponsored and this leads to citizenship. Getting into this, you must:

  1. hold a subclass 160, 161, 162, 163, 164 or 165 visa
  2. have lived in Australian on this visa for at least 12 months in the last 2 years
  3. have owned and operated a business in Australia for at least 2 years
