Ireland Announces New Work Permit Changes 2021

Ireland has added few changes in its work visa stream – 16,000 more non-EU workers will be accepted additional to the normal quota. The required qualification level has also been decreased. The salary threshold will also be much lower compared with other in-demand occupations.

Social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech and language therapists will also now be deemed as occupations eligible for an employment permit. Before, these occupationas were a part of ineleigblie list of emploments for foreigners. The new rules will be immigiately ineffect from the day of announcement.

Ireland announces some best changes for the non-EU workers. Damien English T.D, Minister of the sector, specified for Business, jobs, and selling zone, has declared on 14 June 2021 about the modifications related to jobs authority. These modifications were set out for the Non-EU employees (from the non-European Economic Area).  

Damien English narrated: “These modifications which will be implemented from today, will bring the rapid process and will end up the scarcity of the workers in the field of nursing home and healthcare.”
