Japanese language (JLPT) test for Pakistanis will be held in July 2020 to recruit them for the newly announced work visa scheme. According to a press release from the Japanese embassy in Islamabad, Pakistanis will be able to apply for 5 5-year work visa in three different categories. There are only two major requirements to apply for a work visa, passing the Japanese language test, and holding a skill in 14 announced sectors in Japan. What is JLPT?
The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is held worldwide annually to evaluate the level of proficiency of non-native speakers in the Japanese language. The Japan Foundation works with local host institutions to administer the test outside Japan.
Japanese Language Test Centres in Pakistan
Currently, there are two test centres to conduct the JLPT levels 1 to 4.

- Japan Information & Cultural Centre, Consulate General of Japan
Test dates deadlines
You can apply for the test between 9 and 27 March 2020 at NUML University.

Test requirements
- 2 Coloured photographs note more than 6 months old. Size required (3cm x 3cm in size).
- Applicant must be a non-native speaker of Japanese language (A Pakistani national).
Test Fees
You will have to pay a test fee to sit in the test of JLPT as follows: For levels 1 & 2: PKR.700 (in cash only). For levels 3, 4 & 5: PKR. 600 (in cash only)
