In the latest Express Entry round of invitations, IRCC issued the second biggest draw of the year. The immigration department chose 6,300 candidates from the Canada Experience Class with a comprehensive ranking score of 515.
This is the second CEC draw of the year. On 31 May, the first CEC draw of 2024 was issued for 3,000 candidates with a CRS score of 522 as eligibility.

Focus on settling temporary residents
Canada is focusing more on settling the temporary residents in the country. The biggest example of this is the category and program-based draws for candidates having experience in Canada. The immigration department has already issued 6 draws in one month (July) with an overall 17,361 ITAs.
