Russia visa-free entry for UEFA Championship matches

Russia is going to give visa-free entry to all football fans for 7 matches including the quarter final.

St. Petersburg will host seven matches of the tournament: six matches of groups B and E and one quarter-final. Foreigners who have bought tickets for the matches of the European Football Championship in St. Petersburg will be able to come to Russia without a visa, as it was during the 2018 World Cup. The corresponding document was signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin. The UEFA EURO 2020™ matches will take place between 11 June and 11 July 2021.

Foreign citizens and stateless persons arriving in the Russian Federation as spectators of UEFA EURO 2020тм matches can enter the Russian Federation multiple times without a visa using valid identity documents recognized by the Russian Federation as such and FAN IDs during the period starting 14 days before the first UEFA EURO 2020™ match in Saint Petersburg and ending on the date of the last UEFA EURO 2020™ match in Saint Petersburg, i.e. from 00:00 on 29 May 2021 to 23:59 on 2 July 2021 (local Russian time).

Matches at Saint Petersburg Stadium

  • Saturday 12 June – Group B: Belgium vs Russia (22:00, local time)
  • Monday 14 June – Group E: Poland vs Slovakia (19:00, local time)
  • Wednesday 16 June – Group B: Finland vs Russia (16:00, local time)
  • Friday 18 June – Group E: Sweden vs Slovakia (16:00, local time)
  • Monday 21 June – Group B: Finland vs Belgium (22:00, local time)
  • Wednesday 23 June – Group E: Sweden vs Poland (19:00, local time)
  • Friday 2 July – QF1: Winner 6 vs Winner 5 (19:00, local time)

Not only the Russian national team and its rivals in group B Belgium and Finland, but the national teams of Poland, but Slovakia, and Sweden will also play in the Russian capital too. To enjoy visa-free entry, a foreign fan needs a match ticket, FanID, that is, a fan’s passport, as well as a negative PCR test. Fans who have come to the Euro will be able to stay in Russia until July 12.

Though the visa free entry is a great pleasure for the international footbal fan, but still they will have to go through some important requirements to be fulfilled along with folloiwng the laws and regulations in Russia.

Match tickets could be bought at https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/ticketing/#/

Fans can also use the tickets of last year if they bought these and still held these. Due to the postponement of UEFA EURO 2020тм, tickets will be valid for UEFA EURO™ matches that will be held in 2021.
