Prospective students who want to find out more about the possibilities of studying in the Federal Republic of Germany can apply for a student application visa.

The registration letters from Germany are often relatively late – in this case you should apply for a student application visa. For this, you must present a confirmation that you have applied to a German university.

The visa is valid for three months. You must have it converted into a residence permit for study purposes in Germany.

It often takes several months for a visa to be issued. You should apply for the visa early enough! If you arrive late in Germany, you may miss important dates and may not be enrolled. Without enrollment you can not get a residence permit for study purposes.

The German diplomatic mission then checks whether the applicant is in possession of a recognized secondary school diploma, a recognized and sufficiently valid passport or passport substitute, and whether he / she has sufficient financial resources per month, which are based on the maximum BAföG rate (currently approx. 720, – EURO). (Financial proof). Also in this case, the consent of the responsible German immigration authority is requested for the approval. Again, the consent is considered granted, if not contradicted within 3 weeks and 2 working days.

The endorsement is granted with a validity period of 3 months. If no admission is granted within this period or if no certificate is submitted for a preparatory German language course in Germany, the residence permit may initially be extended at short notice.

Upon presentation of the admission, the applicant will receive a temporary residence permit for the duration of the study. A return trip between study orientation, language course and study entry is not required.
