Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has assigned the Yukon 215 nomination spaces for the Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) in 2025—half the number allocated in 2024.
Due to limited slots and growing interest, the Yukon government is launching a strategic and prioritized nomination system for this year. Canada has already cut down allocations of the provincial nominee program under the Immigration Level Plan 2025-2027.

What Is an Expression of Interest?
An Expression of Interest (EOI) is an initial online submission that allows employers to express their intent to nominate a foreign worker. It is not a full application and does not guarantee an invitation.
Once the intake period ends, selected employers will receive invitations to apply. Selections are based on whether the foreign worker matches priority categories outlined for 2025.
2025 Nomination Priorities
The Yukon government will prioritize EOIs for foreign workers who meet any of the following criteria:
- Have lived and worked in the Yukon for at least one year
- Are graduates of Yukon University
- Are French-speaking and have taken a required French-language test
- Possess a Temporary Measure Letter of Support
Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Be Nominated?
Only employers may submit an EOI. Foreign workers must meet specific conditions based on their location and role.
Foreign Worker’s Location | Eligible If… |
In Canada | Must hold temporary resident status |
Outside Canada | Must either: |
– Be French-speaking and have taken the required language test in French
– Be filling a regulated health care position
– Be taking a job in a rural Yukon community |
Required Details for the EOI
When filling out the EOI online form, employers will need to provide:
- Business name
- Employer contact information
- Job location
- Foreign worker’s full name and nationality
- Foreign worker’s current residency (inside or outside Canada)
- Length of time the worker has lived/worked in Yukon (if applicable)
- Whether the worker is French-speaking

🔸 Note: One EOI must be submitted per foreign worker. If a foreign worker has more than one employer, only the primary employer should submit the EOI.
