The Canadian Immigration Department (IRCC) released the latest draw, issuing 4,500 invitations to apply under Express Entry Draw. The category chosen for this draw is French Language proficiency.
The success candidates had to score 410 to get ITA at minimum. This is the lowest score cut (CRS score) after August 2024. They will now have to apply for permanent residence in 60 days.
As per the announcement of IRCC of 27 February, French language category is one of the prioritized categories including other three which are as follows:
- Health care and social services (e.g., family physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, psychologists, chiropractors).
- Trades (e.g., carpenters, plumbers, contractors).
- Education (e.g., teachers, child care educators, instructors for persons with disabilities).
This means applicants with experience in these occupations will be more likely to be invited for the Express Entry draws.
