IRCC has announced the biggest news of the year, inviting 6,500 under the Express Entry round of invitations. This is the first category-based draw for “French language proficiency”.
The successful candidates had to score 428 in the Express Entry Pool. These candidates have now 60 days to apply for the permanent residence.
IRCC has so far released seven draws this year with an overall 11,601 candidates. Under the In-Canada focus category in “Immigration Level Plan 2025“, overall 82,890 candidates will be able to apply for permanent residence

- Rank needed: 6,500 or above
- CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 428
- Number of invitations issued: 6,500
- Tie-breaking rule: February 10, 2025 at 16:41:38 UTC
- If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
