The list covers the relevant migration-cooperation routes under Italy’s work-entry quota programme. Eligibility also depends on the employment category and its requirements.

How To Apply
For an employment route, the process normally starts with an employer in Italy.
- Secure a job offer: The employer identifies the appropriate work category and checks eligibility.
- Prepare the application: The employer or authorised representative uses the Ministry of the Interior’s ALI portal to prepare the work-authorisation request.
- Submit on the relevant date: The completed request is sent when the applicable category opens.
- Obtain work authorisation: The nulla osta depends on the required checks and available quotas.
- Apply for the visa: After authorisation, the worker proceeds through the responsible Italian embassy or consulate.
- Complete residence formalities: After entering Italy, the worker and employer complete the required contract and residence-permit steps.
Workers cannot independently reserve an employment quota place simply because their country appears in the list. Self-employment follows separate requirements.
