Windrush Scheme reforms benefits

Windrush generation (history)
People from the Caribbean who came to the UK between 1948 and 1971 have been labeled the “Windrush” generation. It refers to the ship MV Empire Windrush, which sailed to Tilbury on 22 June 1948, supporting workers from Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and different islands to meet post-war labor shortages in Britain.
