More Draws for temporary residence and Canadian experience holders
Over the past few months, IRCC has been focusing more on settling temporary residents permanently in Canada. This is why the focus is also on immigrants with Canadian experience as they have more tendency to settle in the country. They also can help the local labor market with prior experience in hand.
This is the thir CEC draw of this year-the previous were form 31 May and 17 July which invited 3,000 and 6,300 candidates respectively.
Overall, July has been phenomenal as IRCC issued 9 draws in whole month by inviting 25,125. There has been a mix of program and category based draws this month. But most of the invitations have been released for the program based streams which are “Provincial Nominee Program” and “Canada Experience Class”. More and more draws (but less invitations) have been categories-wise in 2024 such as:
- Health occupations;
- Trade occupations;
- Transport occupations;
- Agriculture and agri-food occupations;
- STEM occupations;
- General category;
- French language proficiency.
